Upcoming readings in July
Is it July already?? I guess so--summers always fly by. And in July, I'm giving a couple of readings:
On July 15, I'll be reading at the Women's Writing Retreat in Pyramid Lake in Paradox NY, a gorgeous spot in the Adirondack mountains. I'm looking forward to seeing my old friends there, especially my Bates College roommate, Ellie O'Leary. This reading is only open to folks attending the retreat.
On July 19, I'll be reading from my new YA novel, Somebody Up There Hates You (http://www.algonquinyoungreaders.com/book/somebody-up-there-hates-you/ ) which is coming out in September. The reading will be part of the residency for Fairfield University's MFA in Creative Writing Program ( http://www.fairfield.edu/cas/mfa_index.html ). We'll be gathered on beautiful Enders Island, at Saint Edmund's Retreat (http://www.endersisland.com ) and I'll be reading with poet Carol Ann Davis at the chapel at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public.
